1 Evaluation Procedures for Classified Employees

2 The evaluation procedures for classified employees should incorporate the following principles:
Accurate and fair assessment Ongoing, specific feedback Professional development recommendations Opportunities for evaluator-evaluatee discussion Completed online within the Frontline Performance Management/MLP system

3 Standards and Indicators
The evaluation form represents a formal summary of the employee’s performance. All four standards must be addressed on the evaluation form. Each employee’s evaluation form contains performance standards and indicators which reflect the breadth of the job description. The list of performance indicators under each performance standard is not exhaustive and is not intended to be prescriptive.

4 Standard 1 Quality of Work
The employee Performs job related tasks efficiently and effectively Plans, organizes, and prioritizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines Completes assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner Demonstrates knowledge of job specific tools, materials, and methods Maintains a neat and organized work environment

5 Standard 2 Job Knowledge
The employee Demonstrates an understanding of LCPS policies and procedures Applies job specific knowledge and skills to assigned responsibilities and duties Utilizes appropriate resources, materials, and methods Acquires skills necessary to perform duties accurately Utilizes best practices and LCPS requirements in safety and security

6 Standard 3 Professionalism
The employee Maintains a positive, respectful, and collaborative professional relationship with co-workers, supervisor, and community Demonstrates dependability, reliability, and responsiveness Displays flexibility when performing non-routine tasks Communicates in an appropriate and professional manner Maintains confidentiality and professional integrity Wears clothing that is appropriate for a professional, educational environment Is punctual and adheres to LCPS leave policies

7 Standard 4 Judgement and Leadership
The employee Uses informed reasoning and good judgement when making decisions Informs his/her supervisor of an incident, event, or occurrence that may require attention or additional resources Works in an independent and self-directed manner Takes initiative to propose solutions and implement plans Coordinates with colleagues to perform responsibilities effectively
