About the practical related tasks and the two ability areas
A) Types of practical related tasks:
(1) investigative practical
(2) microscopic examination
(3) dissection
(4) ecology fieldwork
(5) biological drawing  

3. Assessment areas: A
This area assesses the student’s ability in organizing and performing of practical work:
use suitable apparatus and equipment (U)
demonstrate the appropriate skills for carrying out the work (A)
make accurate observations and measurements (M)
perform efficient and organized work (E)
carry out the procedures safely without assistance (S)
interpret and discuss results
draw appropriate conclusions

4. Assessment areas: B This area assesses the student’s ability in
presenting the investigation in written form:
identify the problem to be investigated and to
formulate a hypothesis, andwhere applicable,
put it in a testable form
devise a plan of investigation in accordance
with the problem to be investigated
record and present results in appropriate forms
