13 Sit next to someone from a different maths group.
Make sure you are holding a square piece of card.

Fold your card in half. What shape are you holding now? A rectangle.

15 Fold your card in half again along the long side.

16 When you open up the card, how many shapes will you see?

17 Cut carefully along the folds. Rearrange the squares.
What new shapes can you make?

18 Tell the person next to you how many vertices your new shape has got.
How many sides does it have?

19 Group Work Work with people not in your normal maths group.
Investigate and record the different shapes you can make with the four small squares. Squares must touch side to side.
