The Conference is a priority of Portuguese Presidency in that it will demonstrate the positive impact that eGovernment has on the long term sustainability of the european economy and the welfare oy our citizens. Better public services for growth and jobs, Participation and transparency, Social impact and cohesion and Effective and efficient administration will be the main themes relating to ICT and Public Services.

The Exhibition will display operational eGovernment sucess stories. These exhibits will be selected trhough a call for applications and the best submissions will receive one of the «i2010 Awards for Innovation in eGovernment» The Conference will atract top-level stakeholders from around the world: government leaders from national, regional and local levels, industrialists, civil society and experts.

When and where The Conference will take place on September 2007 in Lisbon. On the eve of the conference, the 19 September, there will be a Ministerial meeting starting in the later afternoon. The ministerial will take stock of progress since the 2005 Manchester Ministerial Declaration and the i2010 eGovernment Action Plan. It will seek to reconfirm commitment to these targets and identify and assess emerging policy priorities at national and EU-level.

Venue The 4th Ministerial eGovernment Conference is foreseen to take place on Feira Internacional de Lisboa – Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, located at the Expo grounds.

Registration Participation in the Conference is by invitation only and the number of participants is limited.  Participants will include Ministers, top-level representatives from public authorities, including regional and local levels, as well as delegations from third countries, from the candidates to the European Union, from EFTA and also high level executives from the business community and civil society.
