2 Animal Facts Diet Leopards are carnivores, and they eat small birds and any already killed fresh meat. They drag their prey into the trees to eat. Description Leopards are brown and golden, and their cubs are the same. The adults’ size is relative to a six-foot man, and they weigh 66 to 176 pounds. They have fur, and their spotted coats help them blend in. Movement Leopards are strong swimmers, and they run as well. 3 Habitat Leopards live in the rainforests and in Africa. They are very at home in trees. They also live in bush and riverine forests. 4 Life Cycle Leopard cubs have live birth and are in a litter of one to two babies. They take 3 months to be born, and their mother takes care of them for two years. The cubs look like the adults but smaller. Adult leopards live by themselves. They can live 21 years in captivity. 5 Animal Interactions Leopards’ claws and teeth help them protect themselves and their cubs. Leopards can communicate by hisses, growls, claw extending, baring their teeth and a lot of other things.
