In the next few weeks we are going to look at three types of developmental activities:

Education

4. Education
In addition to schooling, we are going to talk about four other areas of education:
Helping your kids learn and develop useful skills
Helping your kids understand how the world works so that they can effectively do the things they need to do in life
Helping your kids develop a love of learning
Helping your kids develop a perspective that ties all of life back to a biblical worldview

5. Education Helping your kids learn and develop useful skills
The book of Proverbs tells us: Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men. (Proverbs 22:29)
You as a parent have many skills that you can pass along to your children.
Be aware of areas where your child may be naturally gifted and encourage them to develop skills in those areas.
If your child is gifted in an area where you have very little knowledge or skill, help them connect to others who can help them develop in those areas.

How to make good friends and be a good friend
How to be organized and efficient
How to study, research, do homework
How to eat right and exercise
How to manage their time, keep a calendar
How to get a job and keep a job
The value of networking
How to manage their money, make a budget

What other things can you think of?
