Possessive adjectives are always placed before the nouns they modify, like in English.

Because su and sus have multiple meanings (your, his, her, their, its), you can avoid confusion by using this construction instead: [article] + [noun] + de + [subject pronoun]. ©2014 by Vista Higher Learning, Inc. All rights reserved.

Possessive adjectives tell you who owns something or describe a relationship between people or things. In Spanish possessive adjectives agree in number with the nouns they describe. In English there is no number agreement with possessives. Ex. Mi libro/Mis libros My book/My books Su carro/Sus carros his/-her car/their cars Nuestra clase/Nuestras clases Our class/Our classes
