The Asteroid belt is located between Mars and Jupiter
Asteroids Mostly small rocky fragments remaining from the formation of the solar system. The Asteroid belt is located between Mars and Jupiter Asteroids have hit earth and may have been the cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Comets Come from a place in the universe called an Oort Cloud
Small dirty ice fragments or sometimes called snowballs They orbit the sun in long elliptical orbits because they are so far from the sun. As a comets orbits the sun they form long tails and coma’s The tail of a comet always faces away from the sun. Halley's comet is the most famous cause of its size.

Meteors, Meteorites, and Meteoroids
Meteoroids are rocky objects that orbit the earth and fly through the solar system. Meteoroids then change to Meteors as they come through our atmosphere and burn long bright tails. Meteorites are the meteoroids and Meteors that hit earths surface.
