2 United colours: Overt prejudice against out groups identified by race, gender, or sexual orientation has decreased dramatically in the last few decades, as witnessed by the broad popularity of events such as Pride parades and multicultural carnivals. However, these groups continue to experience disadvantages, which may be due to the hidden bias that social psychologists have detected with the Implicit Association Test (IAT).
