Three options to fulfill your major requirement
Internship (SOCI3398) Co-op (SOCI3396) Study Abroad (SA4490) All three options require some level of adminstrative approval

Internship Engaging in experiential learning at an organization relevant to sociology Many work organizations Most volunteer organizations May be paid or unpaid Minimum one semester commitment

Co-operative Similar to an internship, but oriented to those who are working full-time or significant hours at a position appropriately linked to sociology and/or career goals Must be a paid position Minimum two semester commitment

Study Abroad Confer with your advisor
Some study abroad programs are offered through the Sociology department. Typically occurring in the summer over a several week period.
