Eph.2:8 “…not of yourselves; it is the gift of God...”

Ch.1:7 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”
Grace is something that costs the one who receives it nothing, but costs the one who gives it everything.
