Figure 1 summarizes the IPSs for various combinations of the number of embryos transferred and the number of resulting implantations. Each combination provides a unique IPS value within the range from −1 to +1. Non-pregnant cycles acquire negative IPSs that become more negative with increasing numbers of embryos transferred. Pregnant cycles acquire positive IPSs that are tempered by the number of embryos transferred and the number of implantations.
