60 You are the salt of the earth…
…You are the light of the world… Yes, we are called to be uniquely different – after all, Jesus saved us and made us brand new people. We are not to be abusing alcohol and drugs. We are not to be involved in a pornographic or sexually deviant lifestyle. We are not to be selfish of the blessing with which we have been given by God. BUT… that does not mean we are supposed to stay away from those who do. How else will they know Christ unless they hear about Him through your life and testimony? Salt, light, and leaven must interact up close and personal in order for there to be change.

61 Light in the Darkness “You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.” (Matthew 5:14-15)

64 Saved BY grace. Saved FOR good works.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works so that no one can boast Ephesians 2:8-9 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do Ephesians 2:10 We have a God-shaped vacuum and a purpose-shaped vacuum. We can’t fill a purpose-filled vacuum with more devotion any more than we can fill a God-shaped vacuum with service. Leaders Word One another Gifts Most pastors have a spiritual growth or spiritual formations model that goes something like this: Given enough time and truth, people will change and grow. But that’s just like saying “A good diet alone, without exercise is sufficient.” Mary Frances Bowley—Wellspring of Living Water—”To save the women of Atlanta” Mosaic:In Erwin’s book An Unstoppable Force, he expands on how service relates to assimilation: “A person who attends but does not begin to serve will drop out within a year. One can ponder all the research…on how to assimilate…new believers into the body of Christ, but it comes down to one simple variable. If people begin to serve, they stick.”[3] Medicine Horse: Clayton and the Chainsaws: Intersection of passion and purpose where you fee fully alive. You see every person is born with a passion. Every person who is “born-again” also has a purpose—to walk in the good works that God has prepared beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). Given enough opportunities, everybody will find the intersection of passion and purpose. Fulfillment is not the exclusive property of vocational Christian workers. One pastor commented, “Just when I think we’ve found all the willing volunteers in our church, I present another opportunity and a whole new group comes forward.” To help people grow, we need to present many opportunities for ministry.
