To be successful, an interior decorator has to have well-developed aesthetic sense.

3 Advocate (v.) Urge; plead for
If students don’t like the new dress code, they need to advocate for a change instead of just complaining about it.

4 Bombastic (adj.) Conceited; using inflated language
A bombastic acceptance speech may impress some, but others may think it’s too garrulous.

5 Candor (n.) Frankness; open honesty
Some people aren’t worried about others’ feelings and speak with candor no matter how sensitive the subject.

6 Digression (n.) Wandering away from the subject
The judge instructed the witness to avoid digression and stick to his story.

7 Diligence (n.) Steadiness of effort; persistence of hard work
Diligence and determination are two key aspects of success!

8 Feasible (adj.) Possible; practical
It’s not feasible to believe that students are comfortable in a ninety-degree classroom.

9 Intrepid (adj.) Fearless
In the Divergent series, members of the Dauntless faction are intrepid enough to jump off buildings and moving trains.

10 Obscure (adj.) Indistinct; not easily understood
The meaning of the poem is so obscure that even the best critics disagree over it.

11 Scrutinize (v.) To examine closely and critically
High schools are full of students who scrutinize each other’s attitudes, fashion senses, and social decisions.
