New Netherland colony began as a “Holy Experiment.” The Stamp Act of was a tax on printed materials. Ghana is the land of gold. The English settlement of 1607 was Jamestown. Tobacco was a main crop for Virginia and Maryland. The first national plan for US government was the Articles of Confederation. Troops commanded by George Rogers Clark conquered Kaskaskia, Cahokia, and Vincennes. The depression that started in 1784 was partly due to the losses of the British market. The Great Compromise focused on representation in Congress.
