Regular Polygon : has all equal sides and all equal angles (equilateral and equiangular) Regular Hexagon:

6 Terms: Center of a regular polygon: is the center of the circumscribed circle. Radius: is the distance from the center to a vertex Apothem: the perpendicular distance from the center to a side of the polygon

7 What type of triangles are the 6 triangles?
Isosceles Triangles!

8 What is the measure of each interior of a hexagon angle?
180(6-2) = 180(4) => 720 Total Interior Each interior = 720/6 = 120

9 What is the measure of each base angle in each isosceles triangle?
120 / 2 = 60 Use Special Right Triangles to find the length of the apothem

10 Area of a Regular Polygon:
A = area s = side length a = apothem n = number of sides
