Daniel Carriero Group: 3-D Mr. Powell
The Hypotenuse is always bigger then the other 2 side c² = a² + b² c² - b² = a² Daniel Carriero Group: 3-D Mr. Powell
2
First Way First step: Is to look if it’s a right angle triangle.
Second step: Locate the hypotenuse Third step: If the hypotenuse is missing you must use the formula c² = a² + b² The hypotenuse is always the opposite side of the right triangle
3
Second Way If the hypotenuse is given to you and you are missing another side you must use this formula c² - b² = a²
4
= Example First way First do: 8² = 64 Then: 6² = 36 Then 64 + 36 = 100
And Last do: √100= 10 = 10
5
= Example Second way First do: Then: 225 - 81= 144 15² =225
Then do: 9² = 81 Then: = 144 After: √144= 12 12 is the answer for the missing side = 12
