10. If you watch a swinging ball held from a string---why does the ball eventually stop swinging?
The motion energy called kinetic energy of the ball is transferred somewhere else through a small amount of friction from the air. So the energy is transferred to the air as it swings side to side.

Seismic which are a combination of transverse and compressional.

12. What happens to molecules when heat is added and taken away.
Heat speeds up molecules and cold slows them down…..DUH!!!!!

So what about heat and cold and molecules….………cold-barely moving room temp moving slightly and hot bouncing all over with high energy levels—more heat (energy) more movement and further apart.

14. Why do hot things cool----or do they?
Generally the heat is transferred from the “hot” item to the surrounding area which is not as high in temperature—remember molecules act through diffusion---they want to go where there are less of what they are……

15. What types of energy will a bike having while being rode up and down a hill?

16. While not moving and at the top of a hill there is potential (storage) energy. Once the bike starts downhill, it is kinetic (moving) energy. As the bike tires move along the road there is friction between the bike tires and road and this gives off thermal energy.
