7 ESS website 1st: how many of you are familiar with INSIte, current ESS website? Ok. Important as the navigation of the ESS website is based on that of INSITe, with some enhancements: Note that this is Work in Progress, ie: both content and lay-out are still under revision Only in EN Banner, still to be fine-tuned: we’ve left free place for a common logo In the meantime we leave the demo banner. Underneath the banner we see the content itself. All pages are divided into 2 columns: the navigation is placed on the left-hand side and the right hand side shows the content itself. The corresponding entry to that page is marked in bold in the navigation menu Example The ESS website has been designed to give high visibility to the most recent news relating to the ESS as a whole, as well as to news from NSIs and from Eurostat. For that reason the default page, i.e. the homepage corresponds to the news. CONCLUSIONS Navigation menu on the left-hand side allows the possibility of adding new levels (such as Guidelines or other projects of the Sponsorship 25th October 2010
