3. Unfortunately, we will sit in alphabetical order until I learn all of your names. I am much better with faces than names, so please bear with me.

4. What is Ms. Ferg like as a person?
I like to be outside in the Spring, Summer, and Fall and cozied up inside during the winter. My hobbies are mowing grass, reading, and teaching – yes, I really do enjoy teaching.

5. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING WITH ME!!!!
In general, I completely understand everyone has different learning abilities --- as long as you put in your BEST effort and are ALWAYS RESPECTFUL, we will get along fine!

6. Hey, I get it!! School, homework, sports, friends, parents… I was in your shoes once. If you are having a REALLY bad day (like the end of the world), let me know.. I do understand!

7. Rule #1
Be in your seat and working on the BellRinger when the tardy bell rings.
BellRingers and all of your lessons will be posted on my website along with the textbook, most worksheets, videos, tutorials and any other resources you need for class.

8. Rules to Live By ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINKS
We have all new computers – crumbs and drinks will destroy them.

9. Cell phones? CELL PHONES ARE OFF LIMITS … PERIOD.
ANY AND ALL CELL PHONES I CAN SEE WILL BE RETRIEVED BY ADMIN.
NO SECOND CHANCES ON THIS RULE**

10. Are YouTube, music, games allowed?
YouTube and music are no longer allowed in the Business Department.
CONSEQUENCE – IF ANY UNRELATED CONTENT IS VIEWED ON YOUR COMPUTER, YOU WILL FIRST RECEIVE A WARNING. A CALL TO YOUR PARENTS WILL BE MADE THAT AFTERNOON OR EVENING.
2ND CONSEQUENCE – MINOR REFERRAL & CALL HOME
3RD CONSEQUENCE – MINOR REFERRAL & CALL HOME
4TH CONSEQUENCE – MAJOR REFERRAL & CALL HOME

11. School Rules Follow ALL rules in the CCHS Handbook.
The Disciplinary Guidelines are listed in your agenda.
Follow the Dress Code – if in doubt, do not wear it.

12. Hall Time At times I may call you into the hall. Do not be alarmed.
There are many reasons I will ask you to step outside..
Congratulate you!!!!!!
Ask what is wrong (sick, hungry, tired, bad day)
Discuss any issues I may help to address.

13. Involving Admin
Anyone who uses profanity, fights, damages school property, (this includes the property of the teacher and other students), or is disrespectful (talks back), or defies any other safety issue will be sent to ICE and will be written up IMMEDIATELY.
PARENTS OR GUARDIANS WILL BE CALLED ASAP!!
Assignments will still be due – check my website for textbooks, worksheets, and other resources.

14. Get busy.. Please enter the room quietly Keep your hands to yourself
Have a seat in your assigned desk
Take out your materials
Log in to the website
Begin BellRinger assignment

15. When I'm talking, you are not..
When I am giving instruction, I will…
Stand in front of the class
Wait for everyone to be quiet
Begin speaking
**Please remember, when I have to wait, this takes away from your work time.. which equals homework.

16. I'm finished already
If you finish assignments early, you will need to find something to do.
Some choices are: .
Read a book from the Business bookshelf
Review your vocabulary words
Start reviewing the next day's assignment

17. Sick Days or Absences
Practically everything you need is on my website – Lee Ann Ferguson.
Locate the website and the class (Digital Literacy, Business Law, Business Principles)
Follow the instructions for that day.

18. Participation I want to hear your opinions!!!
Utilize the discussion time and dry erase boards to participate. Opinions are never wrong and may open up a whole new dialog and fun conversation / debate.

19. Changing seats My work is finished, may I move over by my friend?
Unfortunately, no. This is so everyone has a quiet place to work and concentrate.
Stay in your seat.

20. Bathroom Use the 15 minute rule to ask for the bathroom hall pass.
Have your agenda ready to be signed.

21. Dismissal The teacher dismisses you, not the bell.
When everyone is QUIET, I will open the door and dismiss you. If you are talking or goofing around, I will wait – this means you will be late to your next class.

22. Now.. am I mean?
Not really.
We all have rules to live by: parents do, friends do, Principals and Administrators do, teachers do, and you do too. This is what keeps our lives from becoming complete chaos.
Smile, follow the rules, have a good attitude and your will SOAR!!!!
