2. RURAL CAREER AGENTS SCHEME
RCA Scheme 1979 revived w.e.f with certain modifications.
RCA will be selected only from Rural Areas.
Minimum Age-18 Years
Maximum Age : 35 years ( For SC/ST 40 Years)
Stipend to trainee RCA for 2 Years.

3. RURAL CAREER AGENTS SCHEME
Definition of Rural Sector :
Minimum Population of 5000.
At least 75 % of the male working population engaged in non agricultural pursuits
Population density of at least 400 per sq. km ( 1000 per sq. mile)

4. SELECTION AND TRAINING FOR RCA
A person shall be eligible for appointment as a Trainee RCA and shall be given training under the scheme.
The officer-in-charge of Branch may consider application for appointment received.

5. Process of selection Annexure II is to be filled by the Dev. Officer.
Pre recruitment training and test as per IRDA Guidelines.
Annexure III (Appointment letter indicating terms & conditions is to be given to RCA after Successful Recruitment.
Work Diary of RCA is to be maintained by the RCA.

6. Process of selection
PDO/DO to submit a weekly progress and review report to Branch-In-charge for further review.
Fortnightly Report of RCA is to be filled by the RCA in triplicate out of which 2 copies will be given to branch by RCA and after review by Branch-in-charge, one copy is to be sent by branch to Manager (Sales).

8. RURAL CAREER AGENTS SCHEME
If RCA clears the CIS Exam within 18 months of recruitment, a one time incentive of Rs. 1000/- will be given.
The criteria for becoming eligible for the advance of two- wheeler would be 40 Lives and Rs /- FYC ( Excluding Bonus Commission). After 6 months if the RCA is able to achieve the eligibility condition, the advance can be sanctioned to him even during the stipendiary period.
The amount of Advance should be Purchase Price of vehicle or Maximum Rs /- after taking two acceptable sureties, one of whom shall be permanent employee of the Corporation.

9. CITY CAREER AGENTS SCHEME
CCA Scheme introduced on
The area of selection of CCAs will be the area which is other than Rural as per IRDA definition.
All CCAs sponsored by Development Officers/Probationary Development Officers only.
Stipend to trainee CCA for 1 Year.

10. CITY CAREER AGENTS SCHEME

11. CITY CAREER AGENTS SCHEME
Additional Stipend for acquiring professional qualification:
If a CCA clears the CIS exam within 9 months of recruitment, o one time incentive of Rs. 2000/- will be given.

12. Minimum Business Guarantee Norms to be achieved by agents during agency year
An agent has to procure :
EITHER 6 LIVES & Rs. 50,000/- FYPI
OR LIVES
OR Rs. 1 LAC FYPI.

13. RCA CCA Area other than Rural as per IRDA guidelines
