Purpose: Evaluation of methodologies for crop type mapping and biophysical parameters estimation from remote sensing Duration: Since 2010 Location: Rolling Pampas Topography Gently slope (<3 %) Soils: Mollisols. High organic matter content Field size: 20 Ha Well Drained soils. Crop Crop type and variety Crop calendar Climate and weather Temperate isohygro regime (1000 mm) Agricultural methods used Irrigation < 1%. No till Agriculture

Yield Prediction and Forecasting Crop Growth Condition/Stress Soil Moisture Crop Residue, Tillage and Crop Cover Mapping Evaluation of methodologies and new technologies

For each Mission/sensor: * RADARSAT-2 SAR Number of scenes: 23 Challenges: It was possible to re-schedule acquisitions at critical periods * In addition to publically available datasets

10 Plans for Next Growing Season
Will you hold the course, or modify the approach? Maintain / increase measuring intensity and on road sampling area. Expand JECAM sites area? Funding required (to follow a common data collection protocol among sites) Do you anticipate using the same type/quantity of EO data next year? Y/N Multifrequency SAR (SAOCOM, ALOS, X band SAR?) If no, how have your needs changed?
