Planning for 2018 subjects Goals of today’s session
Understand the process to enrol your place for next year Decide which subject to drop for VCE students VCAL is continuing the same unless you want to change your VET. Still need to apply on the College link and apply for VET through the Brimbank VET Cluster portal You need to submit your selections for 2018 today and change it if you need to before next week. Applying for a new 3-4 subject Because you are dropping 2 subjects
Collect a form from me Return to Ms Patoulidis by Friday the 28th this week! This allows the subject to be added to your list You are last in queue You are possibly giving up your spot in the existing subject you want to drop

Applying for VET subjects
VCAL & VCE students need to reapply VCAL & VCE students need to reapply to the BVC cluster as well This is available now

VCAL students applying for an SBAT
This will mean giving up your current VET but…… Still have to put your current VET in See me if interested Auto, I.T., Freight Forwarding, Childcare

Applying for Uni extension course
You still need to be enrolled in a minimum of 4 subjects at KDC

Recommendations They are found in your Learning Tasks What it means
NR means something needs to change SNR means think long and hard. Its not ideal because a change may not be possible or advisable. But if a subject gets oversubscribed then SNR are first out.(but not before the student who has not done it in 2017). These situations are rare The redemption clause The reality

Timeline for term 3 Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Week1
17th July 18 19 Portal opens Forms for a different 3 -4 unit available 20 21 Week 2 24 Extended Assembly. 25 26 27 28 Deadline for applying for a new 3-4 unit. Week 3 31 . 1 2 3 Final day for subject selections. Portals close 4 Checks done on recommendations Week 4 7 Subject selection sheets are handed out to be co signed 8 9 Final day for collection of signed forms. After 3.00 pm forms will be considered late 10 11 Today you will go into the H Block rooms to access your link on your school . You need to submit your first draft into the web preferences system It assists us to trouble shoot and you to get through the process Your HG teacher is there to chat to you about your concerns. Any queries they are unsure of around the impact of subject choice they will save that for me You have nearly 2 weeks to do your research. Some go on performance some go on pre requisites.
