Patrick sat down at the kitchen table and took his math homework out of his book bag. Math was a puzzle to Patrick. During class, he felt like a mathematician understanding the entire lesson with ease. However, when he attempted the practice questions at home, it showed that he clearly misunderstood the teacher’s instructions. Patrick’s pencil could always be heard scratching away at his work, but his eraser was definitely getting tired from constant correction. His cell phone calculator was working overtime this week in preparation for the end of unit test. Patrick prayed he would pass, but was pessimistic about the prospect of getting a 60%.
