Although it has been a short week, we have had a ton of fun in second grade! Thank you for sending your students with rosaries this week. We celebrated a beautiful Mass on Thursday, the Feast of our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Picture day was also a huge success – I’ve never seen such beautiful smiles!

What’s Happening in...
Reading: We will continue with lesson 4 by expanding our knowledge of spiders!
Spelling: We will continue working with long o, u, and e words. This spelling test has been moved to next week due to the long weekend.
Math: We will continue with Topic 3, looking at breaking apart numbers to add, using compensation, and practicing many strategies to add.
Social studies: We will continue to learn about landforms by making our own books.
Religion: In addition to practicing the Act of Contrition, we will discuss celebrating
God’s love as
one holy,
Catholic,
and
Apostolic
Church.
