3. What are medieval castles?
Medieval castles were used as protection for the lords and king during the wars. They had large walls for protection from there enemy's.

4. What where castles used for?
Castles were built during the wars in the medieval ages.
At the beginning they were used for better protection.
After the fact they were used more on luxury for lords or kings.

A narrow vertical slit used to fire arrows at enemy attackers.
The slit was made in a certain way that defenders were safe from attack.

Alowed defenders to atack wile still being protected by a wall.
