Discuss the C-NET and eLumen timeline/shift.
Learn how/where to check Title 5 dates for courses. Learn how to access and sign on to eLumen. Review the various workflow types within eLumen. Preview the eLumen curriculum management system. Try it out!

Timeline C-NET will go dark in December 2018.
No one should do any work in C-NET at this time. You can, however, still retrieve course and program outlines from C-NET during the fall 2018 semester. eLumen should be used for all curriculum beginning NOW.

What’s My Username and Password?
Great News! Your eLumen username and password is your Merced College network log-in. No more forgetting CurricUNET passwords!

How do I know if my courses are due for review?
Ask your Curriculum Committee Rep. Look at the Course Review Cycle Spreadsheet (MCCD--About Us--Committees and Organizations--Curriculum Committee--Curriculum Resources In January, you will (should) be able to check in eLumen.

Title 5 Spreadsheet CTE Courses: The CTE 2-year review is in blue. Every 6th year, the course must undergo a comprehensive review. Non-CTE courses: The blue and green dates will be the same. Use tabs at bottom to move between cohorts.

Viewing Courses and Programs in eLumen
Once logged in, select Curriculum. You may need to adjust your role and discipline at the top next to your name. Make sure to then select the Curriculum Library. The default view is the Curriculum Dashboard. The Dashboard shows your workflows, if you have any in the system. Filter as necessary. Check the box to the left of the course. Then select view COR Report. QUICK TIP: To quickly look up a course, type the name of the course in the course code box (no hyphens, i.e., ENGL01A). Switch between Course and Program views as necessary.

Revising a Course If you have permissions to revise a course, when you check the box to the left of the course code, you should see the options: New Revision, Deactivate Course, Show History, View COR Report. Inactivations should select the “Deactivate Course” option.

…? The 3 dots next to an item indicate Help Text. Click the … to reveal information that may help you with that particular field.

Types of Course Revisions.
New Revision: The options shown to the right should appear. These are the current options for modifying an existing course. Select the appropriate work flow to the revision process. The same process will be followed for programs.

New Course Options When you select the New Course box, the list to the right should show up. Select the appropriate option to proceed with the course development.

TIPS: Reference Materials and Last Changes
While working in a course or program, notice the i in the circle on the right side of the screen (the highlighted area on the screen shot). The overlapping pages with the + sign show the last changes made.

Reference Materials: Course vs. Programs
The Reference Materials change between Course and Program view. Some materials will remain the same, but items specific to only courses will not show up in the program view. The same is true for programs. Reference Materials can be added or edited as needed.
