Month Year doc.: IEEE yy/xxxxr0 January 2006 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes ACTION ITEM Review: (Cont.) Action item #51 Lee Armstrong to propose rewording of : “Stations using WAVE functions must be capable of operating in a mobile vehicular environment which consists of multiple classes of streets, roads, and highways in rural, suburban, and city settings. This environment imposes a continuously varying degree of multi-path propagation comprising both slow and fast fading, amplitude variations and signal drop-outs as vehicles traverse through it. Rather than specifying performance in the multitude of scenarios possible, WAVE stations shall be capable of operating in accordance with the channel models defined in Annex L. The channel model in Annex L, determined through actual data collection and validated modeling, prescribe the number of taps, and for each tap, a specified excess delay, a power-density spectrum (with a certain maximum Doppler shift), and a Rician channel K-factor. The packet error rates shall be less than 10 % for either 64 or 1000 octet PSDUs as specified in the Channel Model for the mandatory data rates. For this verification the input level shall be 10 dB above the receiver sensitivity as specified in Table p8.” Clause 11.7 was discussed and updated during session. STATUS: To be presented, discussed, resolved at January Session. Wayne Fisher, ARINC John Doe, Some Company

7 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes ACTION ITEM Review: (Cont.)
Month Year doc.: IEEE yy/xxxxr0 January 2006 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes ACTION ITEM Review: (Cont.) Action item #52: Lothar Stilbor to suggest wording for Annex K.6 “WAVE Control Channel Congestion” Annex K.6 discussed during November Session. The concern here is that it is an Upper Layer function STATUS: Still Open. Wayne Fisher, ARINC John Doe, Some Company

Month Year doc.: IEEE yy/xxxxr0 January 2006 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes: Review of Jason Liu’s Comments (Cont) JLiu/7, Clause Comment: “Is the intention to replace RSSI with WRSS completely or is WRSS in addition to RSSI?” Recommend: Add RSSI parameters to Table p (i.e. from Table 98 in Clause ) Parameter Associate Primitive Value RSSI PHY-RXSTART.indicate 0 – RSSI maximum (RXVECTOR) STATUS: Accepted. ACTION: Update D0.25 Wayne Fisher, ARINC John Doe, Some Company

12 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes: Review of Jason Liu’s Comments (Cont)
Month Year doc.: IEEE yy/xxxxr0 January 2006 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes: Review of Jason Liu’s Comments (Cont) JLiu/8, Annex K.3 & K.4 Comment: “public safety priorities are described, what about other apps like safety of life?” Recommend: Information is incomplete. Either provide full information or move to 1609. STATUS: Teleconference discussion/recommendation: Delete K.3 and K.4 from p (move to P1609). ACTION: Present at January Session for discussion and resolution Wayne Fisher, ARINC John Doe, Some Company

Month Year doc.: IEEE yy/xxxxr0 January 2006 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes: Review of Jason Liu’s Comments (Cont) JLiu/9, Annex K.5 & K.6 Comment: “These two subclauses address the same issue “control channel congestion”.” Recommend: Recommend to combine into one subclause NOTE: This links with AI #52 for K.6 STATUS: Teleconference discussion/resolution: Delete K.5 & Action Item for Jason. ACTION: Action Item (Jason) to identify where to relocate this information in P1609 documents. Wayne Fisher, ARINC John Doe, Some Company

14 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes Some General Notes from Teleconference:
Month Year doc.: IEEE yy/xxxxr0 January 2006 12/13/05 Teleconference Notes Some General Notes from Teleconference: Jason will review the time required for “the MLME-RESET.request” and will present an explanation/reasons for a higher number (20-25 TU). For “K.5 Control Channel Usage Limits” need to “be adaptive” for cases where there are only two users in a communications zone, e.g., rural areas. Consider moving K.3, K.4, and K.5 to P1609 documents Wayne Fisher, ARINC John Doe, Some Company
