Red panda’s Diet They are herbivores .
Red Pandas eat acorns, berries, roots, lichens, eggs, blossoms , fruit, and small leaves. Also they eat small animals[small rodents and small mammals], mushrooms, bamboo, [shoots] grasses, fungi, and seeds. A female can eat approximately 200,000 bamboo leaves in one day.

habitat They live in cool temperature bamboo forests.
They inhabit climates of moderate temperature (10-25°C)and prefers forested mountainous areas at elevations 1,800-4,800m. Red Pandas lives in forests with a bamboo understory. Also they live in rainy, high attitude forests.

Their babies They have1-5 baby Red Pandas at a time (usually 2).
Female Red Pandas give birth mainly in June. Young attain adult size at approximately 1 year. Young seem to stay with their mother for about a year , or until the next litter is about to be born.

Physical characteristics
They are about 2 feet long. Red Panda’s tail are about 1.5 feet long. Also they have a false thumb just like Giant Pandas. Males weigh 4.5 to 6.2 kilograms. Females weigh 3.7 to 4.5 kilograms.

Fun facts They’re known as Fire Fox.
Red Pandas can live up to 14 years. They’re crepuscular and nocturnal. There are fewer than 2,500 adult Red Pandas. It’s has already been extinct in 4 of the 7 Chinese provinces in which they were previously found. In 1994 they were vulnerable. In they were endangered.

Fun facts They’re currently found in Myanmar Bhutan, China ,India , Laos, and Nepal.

Red pandas I chose to do a report on Red Pandas because they are rare . Also they are very interesting and fun to research. Plus I want to learn more about Red Pandas and so far I have learned a lot about them . They are also cute. There is so much to learn about Red Pandas. It is so sad that Red Pandas are about to be extinct .They have already been extinct in some places. We must work hard to save them. Red Pandas are fabulous . I enjoyed doing research on them .Also they are related to Giant Pandas which I really like and also enjoyed doing research on. This is why I chose to do Red Pandas .
