ELA:
We are continuing our wondering and questioning unit. The text we are reading this week in class is Explore the Deserts by Kay Jackson. We are continuing our expository nonfiction unit in writing.
Vocabulary:
Adapt: “change to fit new situations or conditions.” People adapt to new situations or conditions by changing their behavior or ideas.
Depend: “rely or need someone or something for help or support.”
Scan: “examine something, or look at something carefully and closely.” Scan also means “read something quickly, without looking closely for details.”
Disrupt: “disturb or interrupt something that is happening.”
Trample: “damage or crush by walking or stepping on something heavily.”
Forbid: “order someone not to do something.”
Math:
Our math skill this week is measuring an inch, half inch, and fourth of an inch.
