The Forward to Health Scheme can be referred by a doctor, fitness practitioner .
But, is also a self-referral scheme for clients
with such relevant issues;

4. What happens
Forward to Health is a scheme designed for people with medical conditions, with the aim of increasing activity and improving health:
Three 1:1 assessments.
FREE gym sessions and discounts on classes and individual activities at our leisure centres.
Nutritional advice
A personal 12 week gym based exercise programme
Ongoing support from your instructor throughout the 12 weeks.

5. Who uses it? What for? Just under 500 individuals
Age range from 19 to 89
60% female/40% Male
What for?
56% Weight loss
10% Depression
12% Muscular skeletal issues

6. What benefits For people completing the programme on average
Blood pressure reduced from 137/87 to 130/81
Body fat reduced form 37% to 35%
Feeling of wellbeing has increased from 6.3 to 7.6 out of 10
Day active have increased for 2.6 to 4.5
Body Mass Index reduced from 32 to 30.4

7. What do they say on completion
67% Achieved their goals on the scheme
95% feel they benefitted form the scheme
78% said their nutrition improved
60% felt there were benefits or significant benefits to their health from being on the scheme
95% were satisfied or very satisfied with the scheme
98% intend to continue to exercise
100% would recommend the scheme and it represented good value for money
