You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

3. Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

4. Pray According to God’s Will
Pray for the unsaved (2 Pet. 3:9)
Pray for our leaders (I Tim. 2:1-2)
This is part of the Christian growth process
Our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16)

5. Sin That Leads to Death
Moses and Aaron died because they disobeyed God (Num. 20, Deut. 34)
Ananias and Sapphira died because they lied (Acts 5)
Many Christians in Corinth died because they were desecrating the Lord’s Supper (I Cor. 11)

6. Anyone Born of God… Does not live a life that is defined by sin
Is kept safe by Jesus
Cannot be “harmed” by the devil
Receives understanding from the Holy Spirit
Keeps himself from idols

7. Teaching the Truth
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)
Salvation is found in no one but Jesus (Acts 4:12)
Jesus has been given the Name that is above every name (Php. 2:9-11)
