ZONE3 advances metrology software to a new level – it is not merely software with some new features. It is a new way of working with a measuring system.
It is truly 3D CAD enabled
It is easy to use and can be learned with two days of training
It uses 3D animations to continually show the relationship of the part, sensors, datum alignments and tooling on the machine
ZONE3 is truly sensor independent – it can operate multisensor systems with video, laser, touch and scanning probes, or it can operate a simple system with only a single sensor, such as a CMM. There is no need to designate a primary sensor. ZONE3 is designed to work with any combination of sensors.
ZONE3 makes use of automatic routine generation – using the CAD model and other innovative features to speed routine building

2. STEP IGES VDA DXF ZONE makes it easy to use CAD models.
ZONE3 accepts all kinds of CAD models – in native format. There is no need to modify the CAD model.
ZONE3 allows loading multiple CAD models - for example a fixture model and a part model.
ZONE3 aligns CAD automatically - No need to set Part = CAD
ZONE3 uses Contextual Feature Creation – if the selected sensor is a Touchprobe, ZONE places the datapoint on the surface. If the sensor is vision, ZONE3 places the point on the edge.

The “Apply to Similar” feature copies the steps for similar features in the CAD model to all instances.
In this example, there are 528 similar features.
We program one, then “apply to similar” to program 527 like features.
