Outside a cell in body fluids.

7. Factors affecting diffusion
Higher temperature  diffuse faster
Smaller particles  diffuse faster
Gases  diffuse faster than solids and liquids

8. osmosis
The diffusion of water across a semi-permeable membrane.
Goal is to create balance.

9. A semi-permeable membrane lets water and some molecules diffuse across it but keeps molecules of other substances from penetrating it.
