Three Steps in developing your OV-6b Step 1 - Identify the Product's Timescale
Decide on the timescale that this product is expected to represent (as-is, to-be, transitional) Multiple timescales are often needed for each product; a separate OV-6b should be produced for each timescale that is needed

Step 2 - Reference Activity Model (OV-5)
Identify the relevant components from your OV-5. These components comprise a "pick list" of candidates for consideration in the production of your OV-6b. Identify: Applicable events Applicable business processes or work flows State transitions

Step 3 – Illustrate State Transitions
Using the template provided: Graphically depict system states as rounded boxes Graphically depict transitions (from one state to another) as directional lines Annotate: Transition Lines Event Names Action Names Result Names
