2. Introduction Scintillator is a material which emits light(scintillations) when an ionization radiation falls on it. Plastic scintillator are used. PMT(Photo Multiplier Tube)- A device which converts light into electric current. Light guides are used to carry light from scintillator to PMT Discriminator – An electronic circuit which converts analog signal to a digital pulse.
