Computer-Based Testing OODP Students and Schools
Halloween, Special Edition CBT Working Group 2017

Out of District Placement (OODP) Student
OODP & CBT Out of District Placement (OODP) Student A student enrolled in a school outside the student’s home district (the public school district that is responsible for the student), such as: BOCES school program Nonpublic school Other school, such as a special education school DRAFT
3
OODP & CBT Four Primary Concerns:
What school/district orders the test? What school/district scores the test? How do students flow into Nextera Admin to be housed under the OODP location? Can NYSAA students be identified? How will OODP schools get student test scores? DRAFT
4
OODP & CBT Ordering: The testing location of the student is the location responsible for ordering the test. Scoring: The testing location of the student is the location responsible for scoring the test. DRAFT
5
OODP Student Data Flow : We loaded all students based on Staff_Student_Course and according to home district. : We are loading all students based on enrollment + demographic data and marking them up with the following three data elements: Home District Testing District Testing Location (School) DRAFT
6
OODP Student Data Flow The Magic: L2 is already deriving OODP status for your students. Identification: When the first 8 digits of the LEA District BEDS Code does NOT match the first 8 Digits of the Building BEDS Code (and building BEDS does not end in“0888” or “0777”) THEN L2 updates the last 4 digits of the Building’s BEDS Code to “OODP.” OODP = Student not identified as OODP DRAFT

OODP Student Data Flow DRAFT
8
OODP Student Data Flow OODP Students load to Nextera Admin under the testing district and testing location so that the OODP school has the ability to administer the computer-based tests to the student. DRAFT
9
CBT & NYSAA : We loaded all students based on Staff_Student_Course and did not remove NYSAA students, which means that some OODP testing locations had a lot of students to mark up for the Not Testing Code “Taking NYSAA.” : We will remove students with the 0220 code that identifies them as “Taking NYSAA” so there is one less administrative task for those Grades 3-8 ELA and Math OODP testing locations. DRAFT
10
OODP & Scores Scores flow back to the district of responsibility.
Current processes in place for paper OODP student scores should be followed for CBT student scores. DRAFT

Questions? What other OODP Issues are there for us to investigate?
