March 6th – March 10th ELA: We are going to review for Case 21 assessments and continuing our expository nonfiction unit in writing. Vocabulary: No vocabulary this week  Math: Our math skills this week will be reviewing mL and L in word problems, rectilinear area, and shapes. Announcements Next week is Spring Break, March 13th - 17th. Enjoy your time off! Case 21 is this week, Tuesday thru Thursday. Flower Power – Fundraiser to raise money for playground improvements. Buy a flower for your classroom, 25 cents each. The class with the most flowers wins a party! Great American Fundraiser ends on 3/7. Please turn in your completed book. I can ask and answer questions about a passage. I can reread for information. I can recognize a pronoun. Test Dates: 5th Fact Fluency test for this 9 weeks will be on Thursday, Mar. 9th. Please encourage your child to practice skills on mobymax.com as much as possible! Math Homework – None this week due to Case 21 testing. Please be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats something every morning. Tired, hungry children don’t test well. Thank you!! Be sure to encourage your child to read each night. They should be reading at least 20 minutes. Ask your child about what they are reading and what is happening in their book. They love to share their reading knowledge with you! ELA Homework – None this week because of testing.
