Their team
Individual employees
Families of their team
Team morale
What else could a manager’s decision effect?
Have students think of their parents. What tough decisions do parents have to make? How is this similar or dissimilar to the role of a manager?

Management decisions like layoffs or pay cuts can be difficult or unpopular.
Discussion: How do you make a difficult decision?
They are also very difficult decisions to make.

It is important for managers to minimize any harm to the team or the company, however, managers must remain flexible.
