What are you going to do with the stuff in your barn?
What are we doing with our many material blessings? Are we storing them for ourselves, or using them to the glory of God? The Disciple’s Barn What are you going to do with the stuff in your barn?
2
The Disciple’s Barn When we use our possessions to honor God, our barns will be filled with plenty (Proverbs 3:9-10) Some intend to use what’s in their barns to secure their future ease and comfort on earth – they will be disappointed (Luke 12:13-21; Eccl. 2:18-19) Some have no barns, but the Lord takes care of them (Luke 12:22-34; Matthew 6:25-26)

The Disciple’s Barn God enables us to use what is in our barns for the welfare of others to glorify Him! The more we give, the more we have to give (2 Corinthians 9:6-11; Luke 6:38) But it’s not about giving to get, it’s about giving to glorify! (2 Corinthians 9:13; Luke 14:12-14) We must work to enable this to happen (Ephesians 4:28)

The Disciple’s Barn Full barns should be used to bless others. It’s about faith, hope, and love! “But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:17-18) “Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” (1 Timothy 6:17-19)
