Seasonal Tilt and whirl

What patterns do we observe in Alabama on a regular basis that are caused by the movement of the Sun, Earth, and our Moon?

We observe day and night as Earth rotates on its axis every 24 hours (1 day).
We observe seasonal changes as Earth makes its 365-day (1 year) revolution around the Sun. We observe moon phase changes as the Moon revolves around Earth about every 29 days (1 month).

The tilt of Earth’s axis causes sunlight to strike Earth more intensely in one hemisphere than another depending upon where Earth is located in its orbital path around the Sun.

There is a pattern to the location of direct sunlight striking Earth as Earth orbits the Sun. When the Northern Hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun and receives the most sunlight, it is summer for that hemisphere and winter for the Southern Hemisphere.

When the Southern Hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun and receives the most sunlight, it is summer for that hemisphere and winter for the Northern Hemisphere.

The pattern is cyclical, since it repeats on a yearly basis as Earth orbits the Sun.

Label your table of contents and the next available page as Assignment 8: Study Guide.
Answer the questions in your notebook. Use complete sentences. Glue the study guide into your notebook. You should be working SILENTLY!!!
