Have them do two graphs at once using good only data with a specific date. Working in teams, each team will have a different date range. NOTE: the y stack on the right hand side – on gives you two graphs; off gives you one graph with overlapping lines

Extension Activities Extension activity – each of the four groups has a graph. The groups will look at the tide chart and the nitrate chart and be asked to ‘color’ the incoming tide and the outgoing tide over the graphs looking for any correlations. Then tape the sheets up and you’ll have a whole month worth of data tied to a tidal month. Then show the lunar cycles AFTER they’ve made their predictions about what the lunar cycles were like during their ‘month’ Disc – maybe use LO1 and LO3 as they would show different nitrate levels with different tides
