Research Findings Responsibility for new and existing buildings usually divided between different management groups, each with own VP and staff VPs are too busy to attend – they rely on facility/energy managers to gather information and recommend a course of action Managers need detailed information about problems and solutions Managers also need tools to convince VPs of financial case for taking action PECI research shows that financial decision-makers at the VP or Director level do not have time or interest in attending forums like these. Instead, they send the facility or energy mangers who report to them, and depend on these individuals to recommend and defend a course of action.

Format Suggested Format Three or four one-day events Local SF, LA, Sacramento, San Diego Cost to participant: $150 Include trade show Divide content into Cx and RCx “tracks” Format based on PECI’s previous research Locations dependent on sponsorship Total cost will vary depending on size and location. Cost to participant: PECI’s research indicated a $150 cost to participant would not represent a barrier to attendance. Trade show: PECI’s research showed almost half (8) of respondents would be more likely to attend if there was a trade show. The same number said it doesn’t make a difference. Only one respondent was less inclined to attend. “Tracks”: Content is very different, so best to present separately. Could run two sessions concurrently or sequentially (ie morning and afternoon).
