2 Stage Direction Every play needs great stage direction.
In basketball, the most dangerous person on the floor is the person without the ball. In theater, the acting that is happening by the characters on stage without lines makes great theater.

3 Stage Direction The audience and those in the production must know and be able to recognize people, places, and events. Using our social studies format we will identify these as: People: characters Places: setting Events: stage directions including movement, emotions, technology, sound effects, music, lighting, entrances/exits, transitions, and curtain

8 Scene 2 People: Narrator B, Crowd, Narrator C, Elizabeth, Narrator D, TV Reporter, Newspaper Reporter, Grace Lorch Places: Schoolyard (pathway through crowd), Central High School, bench, risers, signs of protest, soldier escort, segregated school riser pathways. Events: Crowd, walking through the audience, use screen to involve audience, TV reporter in audience,

Places: commencement, diplomas, cap and gown, Events: MLK in audience, graduation, music (pomp and circumstance), Newspaper Program. Sing an original “Freedom Song.”
