*Math- We will work on money. Students will have to count, compare and make change. (SOL 3.8) After that we will work on time. (SOL 3.11) Students will have to tell time to the nearest minute using an analog and digital clock and will have to determine elapsed time.

*Reading-We will work on summarizing non-fiction texts and begin making inferences and connections to what is read.
*Writing-We will continue learning how to develop our writing skills. The students will create a vision board to write about their goals for the new year.
*Science- We will be learning about a variety of ecosystems and food chains. We will continue our discussions about animals and plants.
*Social Science- We are locating the ancient civilizations of Greece , Rome, and Mali on a map. We are comparing/ contrasting how these ancient civilizations influenced life today for us.
