Aims Encourage appraisers to re-evaluate and refresh their skills in appraising medical colleagues (from a range of specialties): in the light of feedback they receive on the course and their experience of observing other appraisers

Three Roles for a challenging appraisal
Appraiser – begin by exploring the job the appraisee does and then move into issues flagged up in the Scenario Appraisee – (The tutor) will try to respond naturally to the Appraiser’s interventions Observer – What works well? What could be done differently?
