Literacy/Social Studies
Literacy: We will be writing an opinion piece and reading texts about Abolitionists and the Dred Scott Case. We will continue looking closer at main idea.
Social Studies: We are officially moving into The Civil War and Reconstruction.
Homework: Read for 20 minutes a night. BOOK RECOMMENDATION PROJECT DUE OCTOBER 12th.

Parents/Guardians,
We are beginning our 9th week of the 2017/2018 school year. Please continue to encourage your 5th grader to work hard and make good choices. We have sent out 3 permission forms for this semester. Please be on the lookout. And contact us with any questions. There is no school for students this Friday.
