4. Tides: Vocabulary
Spring Tide- Occur when the Sun, Moon and Earth are in alignment. These are the largest tides. Neap Tide- Occur when the Sun, Moon and Earth are at 90 degrees to each other. These are the smallest tides. Puget Sound Tides- King tides can be over 20ft in height. Bay of Fundy Tides – Can reach over 45ft in height.
