3. Neville Chamberlain POLITICAL VIEWS
followed a policy of appeasement
Germany treated harshly by Allies after WWI
German government had genuine grievances which needed to be addressed.
By agreeing to some of the demands made by Hitler & Mussolini he could avoid a European war.
May 1940 ousted from power. Served under Prime Minister Churchill as Lord President of the Council and died a few weeks after he left the post in October 1940.
