We are responsible for environmental issues. We carry out assignments on behalf of the Swedish Government relating to the environment in Sweden, the EU and internationally. The Agency’s vision is “a good living environment for humans and all other living things, now and for future generations”. 3 Noise at the Swedish EPA
Our work is based on the Environmental Code Guidance on (outdoor) noise Report noise maps and action plans according to the END National noise coordination of agencies who work with noise in Sweden (approx. 15) The aim of the noise coordination: To streamline, strengthen and clarify the work. The long term goal is that the responsible authorities and other stakeholders together can work for and create better sound environments in the society. 11 Survey on low frequency noise 2016
The Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) is currently reviewing the guidelines on low frequency noise indoors. An important aspect of this review is acquiring knowledge about the situation in other countries regarding guidelines and recommendations. Lfn from traffic noise? But not all for everybody: noise from industry, plants, equipments (e.g. pumps, fans, cooling towers), electrical installations, wind turbine, road, rail, sea, air traffic and amplified music.
